CAPACITORS

DIODE

          DIODE  Real picture: Symbol:      How does it work? Allows current to flow easily in one direction, but severely restricts currents from flowing in the opposite dirction. Has two sides: the positive; an anode adne the negative; a cathode. Volts spent? The silicon diode, that is the most usual spends 0.6-0.7 V and the germanium diode use 0.25-0.30 V.
